Rose Valley was started in 1901 by architect William Lightfoot Prince as a community inspired by the English Arts and Crafts Movement, emphasizing handmade craftsmanship, beauty in daily life, and harmony with nature. The goal was to resist the rise of factories by creating a place where artists and craftspeople could live, work, and create close to nature. The layout included naturalistic streets, green spaces, and communal areas, encouraging social interaction among residents and a connection with the surrounding landscape.

Muay Thai Rose Valley, or Thai Boxing, is the art of eight limbs. Muay Thai is a striking martial art and combat sport incorporating punches, kicks, knees, elbows, and clinching.
